Description
Thursday September 10
3:00 – 5:30
The gel plate has become a favorite tool for both beginners and professional artists. Simple materials—a gel plate, brayer, acrylic paint, and paper—can produce extraordinary prints. Whether you’re new to gel printing or looking to expand your skills, this workshop will help you explore its creative possibilities.
Discover how simple botanical shapes can become richly layered works of art! Using either ready-made botanical stencils or stencils you cut yourself, you’ll explore the creative difference between stencils and masks and how each transforms your prints. We’ll also uncover the magic of ghost prints—those unexpected second impressions that add beautiful texture and depth. Through playful layering of leaves and botanical motifs, you’ll create vibrant, one-of-a-kind prints full of color, pattern, and visual interest.
It is optional to purchase your own stencils in advance. Many of my favorite stencils are from joggles.com
