This is an 8 week class
This class is designed for students who have weaving experience or need support when preparing the loom for weaving. The class will cover all the skills necessary to set up a 4 to 8 -harness loom, including preparing the warp and dressing the loom. Depending on their individual interests, students will learn a variety of weaving techniques that can be applied to their weavings. Students will be encouraged to design and plan their own personal projects in this class. If students are interested in brining patterns, help reading the pattern will be provided. Emphasis will be placed on becoming more independent with the process of setting up the loom and exploring the joy of weaving.
Please register early as class registration closes 48 hours before the start of first-class. Registration must be accompanied by full payment

The Falmouth Art Center is very proud to have a scholarship fund supported by donations from members and friends. It is available for both children and adults who have a great desire to create art. REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class.
Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no 
make-ups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
I started weaving after retiring from a business career in late 2018. Since then, I have taken all my classes at the Art Center. I have enjoyed learning how to read patterns, mix colors and learn different weaving structures. In the past year I have purchased 4 looms: a 4 harness 36 inch Harrisville floor loom, an 8 harness 42 inch Schacht floor loom, an 8 harness 24 inch Schacht table loom, and a 16 harness Leclerc 24 inch table loom. I have enjoyed refurbishing all the used looms I have purchased and working on the looms at the studio.
