AUGUST 1-31 in the Hermann Gallery and Landrau-Partan Gallery at the Falmouth Art Center
Falmouth Art Center’s Members Blue Ribbon Exhibition is always the art center’s biggest show of the year. That is because the art center’s more than 1,000 members are all invited to submit one piece to the show. This year, the show has 139 pieces by artists in a wide variety of mediums.
The blue ribbon part of the show refers to the fact that a member of the community is invited to select their favorite pieces and those receive a blue ribbon.
This year, Michael Palmer, recently retired Town of Falmouth Town Clerk, chose 14 pieces to receive blue ribbons.
The following artists received blue ribbons for their work: Arlene Cloninger of Falmouth, Lyn Coffey of Cotuit, Marian Colman of Falmouth and South Hamilton, Judith Fai of East Falmouth, Emily Ferguson of North Falmouth, Brook Howard Keane of Marshfield, Michael Klehm of East Falmouth, Preston MacAndrews of Buzzards Bay, Bill Noble of Mashpee, Rowland Scherman of East Falmouth, Diane Scotti of Falmouth, Desiree Tedford of Boylston, Jim Weinberg of Falmouth and David Williamson of West Falmouth.
