This is a two-hour beginner-friendly drawing class where you will learn to draw simple, structured lines and patterns (tangles) into a beautiful floral piece of art. Instructor Shelly McDermott, CZT will guide you through the process.

No prior drawing experience needed.

REFUND POLICY:

Refunds will not be given within one month of the start of a workshop. Workshops are not pro-rated. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.

The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.

Instructor Bio

Shelly McDermott Artist Bio:

Shelly is a Mashpee resident, having moved here ten years ago after retiring from from public education to continue her artistic endeavors. Over her many years she has continued to pursue her passion to create by taking courses and workshops in a variety of mediums, to develop and strengthen her artistic abilities and portfolio.

Shelly is a former Potter and has worked in and taught hand-building, wheel-throwing and Raku techniques. She is currently a member of the Falmouth Art Center, and has exhibited at the Cotuit Art Center, the Cultural Center of Cape Cod, the True Grit Gallery and has had a one-person show at the Maser Gallery in Falmouth. Her art has been displayed in a calendar and newspaper articles.

She has a B.S. in Education from Bridgewater State College; a Master’s Degree from Lesley College in Integration of the Arts into the Curriculum; and she taught elementary and middle school students for 25 years.
