Mondays, February 26th to April 1st
12:30pm to 2:30pm
This is a 6-week class.
Do you remember weaving a potholder on a small metal loom when you were young? Many weavers started out with that experience. Perhaps you have woven before, or are a beginner, and wish to revisit the experience of weaving. This class may be for you. Instruction will cover all the steps necessary to set up a 4-harness loom. This includes planning a project, preparing and winding the warp, dressing the loom, and beginning to weave. Basic and classic weave structures will be introduced, and students will be encouraged to explore different weaving techniques.
Students who have a knowledge of weaving will be encouraged to plan their own personal projects in this class. The studio has collected several weaving patterns that can be explored and adapted for individual use. Emphasis will be placed on becoming more independent with the process of setting up the loom and exploring the joys of weaving.
If you think this class might be for you but have questions or concerns, please call Christine (774-487-2134) for more information.
Please register early as class registration closes 48 hours before the start of first-class. Registration must be accompanied by full payment
