This is a six week class

A painting studio class for all levels. Come to the Falmouth Art Center on Tuesday mornings and allow multi-talented artist Diane Scotti to help guide you through your most challenging painting tasks. Using her insightful critique, observations, and technique knowledge, she will help you in finding new ways to enhance your work, whether it be pencil drawing, watercolor, pastels or acrylics. Bring your supplies in any medium and a piece you are working on, or start something new.

Scholarship Information:

The Falmouth Art Center is very proud to have a scholarship fund supported by donations from members and friends. It is available for both children and adults who have a great desire to create art. Applications should be submitted to Laura Reckford, Executive Director of the Falmouth Art Center. Scholarship Information and Forms

Refund policy:

Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.

The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.

If Falmouth Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, we will be closed and the missed classes will be rescheduled.

Instructor Bio

Diane Scotti takes her studio name from the French Canadian translation of her maiden name: Vadeboncoeur translates to “Go with a good Heart.”

Her Good Heart Studio in Falmouth, Massachusetts is where her “good heart” is evident in mind, heart and hand.

A MassArt graduate with a BFA with distinction in Art Education, Diane has taught in private schools Grades K to 8, special needs and adult students and after school classes for over 35 years.

She is a member of the Falmouth Art Center, Cape Cod Museum of Art, Foxboro and Norwood Art Associations, as well as Falmouth Art Center’s Monday Morning Plein Air Painters and Friday Figure Group.

Diane is an award-winning multi-talented artist and crafter who spends her time creating art in various disciplines and subjects. Some of her most recent works are in pastels, watercolor, acrylics and an array of 3D pieces, like jewelry and found object assemblage.

Letting her heart decide and allowing herself the freedom to choose subject, style and medium is truly a gift. A wife, mother and grandmother, much of her personal works are portraits of her family. However, she embraces commission work where she can collaborate with a client and create art where subject, medium and style emerge in conjunction with mood and memory personal only to them.
