Saturday February 1
10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Free and Open to the Public

For the sixth year in a row, art and letters members of the Cape Cod Branch, National League of American Pen Women, will gather to create Valentines to mail to U.S. troops across the globe.

The public is invited to attend. Those with service men or women in their family who are overseas are especially welcome.

The day of creation will be Saturday, February 1, from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Falmouth Art Center, 137 Gifford St., Falmouth. Supplies will be provided, but bring your own materials as well.

Those attending for the whole day are asked to bring a bag lunch. The Pen Women will supply drinks and desserts.

Valentines in envelopes will be brought to the headquarters of “Cape Cod Cares 4 the Troops” in Yarmouth, and will be added to blessing boxes sent out monthly from the Cape to our service men and women serving in the United States armed services.

Valentines will be included in boxes mailed to troops through “Cape Cod Cares 4 the Troops” in time for Valentine’s Day. Many soldiers never receive letters or communication from family. Michelle Da Silva sends out boxes to the troops and will include our Valentines in them.
