Description
Wednesdays, January 3 – March 6
1:30pm – 4:30pm (10 Weeks)
The Art of Clay flourishes when we pair technical skill with our aesthetic sensibilities. Uncover your style and heighten your skills in this intermediate to advanced level class. Whether you are a handbuilder or wheel thrower, your final hurdle to making the best work possible is to master the surface of your pieces. With glazing, slip, carving, incised decoration, clay choice, these are just some of the techniques we will cover to broaden your skills in finishing work like a pro! Demonstrations of various methods of making will be scheduled based on the needs of the class, but we will focus on how our aesthetic choices start from the second we choose a claybody. Access to firing cone 10 or cone 5 will be available to one and all.
