from 10:00 am to noon

This class has been created for people who have taken the “Weaving on a Small Loom” class and want to continue exploring techniques and creative possibilities.  Participants will be encouraged to design and create their own weavings using a cartoon or drawing.  Tapestry techniques will be reviewed and we will learn how to apply their use in weavings.  Several new techniques will be introduced: hatching and color blending, loops, wrapping, using texture, and combining both flat tapestry techniques and raised techniques to create interesting woven pieces.  Discussions will include how to best finish and prepare a woven piece for hanging.
