DescriptionMondays, May 6 – June 17
(No Class Memorial Day)
1:00 pm – 4:00pm (6 Weeks)
Have you wanted to work larger? To create a work of art to live in your garden? Ellen’s sculptures are characterized by whimsy and loaded with personality. She will share her techniques for creating them in this six-week class. Students will create a quick model of their garden sculpture on week one, in order to practice the techniques, we’ll be using in later weeks to build a larger sculpture. Students should bring a sketch or photo of the creature they want to create for their garden. This original idea may be modified or altered as new ideas come up during classes. Each student can expect to complete a cat-sized sculpture suitable for the outdoors.
Six week classes include a bag of clay, but if you wish to utilize the studio for the full session, you must sign up for Clay Coop for the remaining 6 weeks.
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
If Falmouth Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, we will be closed and the missed classes will be rescheduled.
