This is an 8 week class.

Learn the important portrait painting skills of anatomy, proportion and achieving a likeness working from a live model while at the same time developing your personal style. You will build the confidence you need to create beautiful portrait paintings.

A new model sits for class each week.

Some drawing experience is required.

Each student can work in his or her preferred medium, such as oil, pastel, acrylic or graphite.

Model fee is included.

REFUND POLICY:

Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.

The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.

If Falmouth Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, we will be closed and the missed classes will be rescheduled.

Materials

Bring appropriate materials for whatever medium you work in.

The fee includes the model’s fee.

Instructor Bio

Dan Hanagan attended the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. He is a professional artist, art instructor, and curator. He is a former Board member of the Falmouth Art Center.
