This is a 4-session workshop.
Explore creative ways to use photographs of favorite animals and beloved pets to create a unique keepsake or gift. This class will take you through both the drawing and color application stages to create at least one portrait. Participants may choose to complete the portrait(s) as a drawing or a pastel painting.
Tips will be shared for cropping options to enhance your photo reference, and ways to capture the personality of the animal. Betsy will show you how to select representational and/or “fun” color combinations. We will begin by creating proportional sketches based on your photograph that will then translate to a drawing or painting of the same proportional size. You will have the option to incorporate backdrops with pastels and stencils using PanPastels.
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class and one month before the start of a workshop. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
