This class is suitable for pastel painters who are new to the medium, those looking for a refresher, and for more experienced pastel artists wanting to develop their painting style
This session’s theme is “Light in the Landscape”
Painting the sky and the land from dawn to sundown
What will be covered in the class?
Develop a painting process that includes options for preliminary work to include composition, developing drawing and design skills, completing value, notan & color studies
Experiment and use various pastels and surfaces, option to incorporate mixed media and try out new pastel techniques
Engage your personal feelings, with tips on how to personalize your painting
Planning for a virtual class required that I balance the active teaching and individual paint time. I decided to increase my active piece and provide you an opportunity to begin the exercises in class then continue to explore the exercises on your own during the week. I will also be to provide feedback on individual paintings artists will bring to class.
I welcome suggestions so never hesitate to get in touch with me.
