DescriptionSunday, March 29th •12:30 pm – 5:00 pm
In this beginner-friendly workshop by felting artist Annamarie Behring, you will create a one-of-a-kind scarf.
What is nuno felting? Nuno felting is a process of combining wool and a piece of fabric to create a scarf. We will create our own designs by laying down merino wool, pre-felt, tussah silk, and sari silk on top of the silk scarf base. Then we will add soap and water, felting the scarf using our hands and a variety of tools to adhere the wool and silk to the fabric base. The result is a custom made, soft and luxurious scarf that would make a great gift.
I will demonstrate how to make a hydrangea-themed scarf, but you will also have the choice of making your own design. A variety of scarf colors will be available. Please see the next tab, “materials,” for more details.
You will go home with one handmade scarf as well as printed instructions (with color photos) for creating a scarf on your own. Join us for this fun and creative workshop!
