Instructors will demonstrate their home-grown custom design techniques for all aspects of the project – including substrate materials, adhesives (indoor and outdoor applications), patterning, as well as special techniques for cutting and arranging flowers, vines, leaves, tiny mosaic background tiles, grouting and sealing, etc. Instructors will also show you their techniques for creating mosaic and Fused flowers and transferring them to the substrate.

Glass artists, Tom and Saundra Snyder, native New Englanders, have been creating mosaic and fused glass art works (kitchen backsplashes, wall murals, fireplace surrounds, pendant lights, etc.) for homes and businesses throughout the country for the past 15 years.
Their work has been featured on Extreme Makeover Home Edition, HGTV Meg’s Great Rooms and numerous Home Décor magazines. They also have an active workshop program where they have taught their skills at their 2,000 sq. ft. design center in Charlotte, NC as well as guest appearances in Texas, Michigan, Ohio and Chicago.
Saundra is an accomplished watercolor artist and Tom’s background is finance and math. They wonderfully combine their skills to create truly one-of-a-kind custom glass art works. Check out their numerous projects in their website www.designerglassmosaics.com. The Workshop & Classes section also contains lots of photos of participants enjoying their workshops and producing their own special glass art.
