Fridays, August 7 – September 11 
2:00 pm to 4:00 pm

 Class meets online using the Zoom platform.

Gather your materials, magazines, papers, maps, notebooks, dried flowers, pieces of fabric, and
recycled materials (ANYTHING THAT CAN BE RIPPED AND GLUED INTO ART)
In this class we will play and experiment with mixed mediums, materials, discover new
techniques, understand composition, and value pattern.

Please look at what you have do not feel compelled to buy everything listed….make sure you
have glue and some materials to get started I am sure you have plenty of things around the
house. This is a great opportunity to use some materials that have just been sitting around.
Suggested supplies:
GLUE
Scissors
any interesting papers and/or fabrics that can be collaged into works
Acrylic paint set…….ANY OTHER PAINTS YOU LIKE watercolor, gouache, oils, inks, etc.
Acrylic Matte medium
Paper or Canvas or hard wood panels.
palette for mixing paints
variety of large and small paint brushes
palette knife
tape
container for water
paper towels
Any drawing materials; colored pencils, oil pastels, water soluble crayons, charcoal, etc.

Instructor Bio

Mellissa Morris is currently the Artist in Residence at 46 Pearl Street in Hyannis. Mellissa has been teaching Abstract Painting classes and workshops for over ten years at local art organizations and colleges in Massachusetts.
