Description
Saturday and Sunday, May 13-14
9:30 am to 4:30 pm
Remember to pack a lunch both days.
This 2-day workshop will change the way you approach drawing, and will enhance your sense of design and composition.
On Day 1, Dawn will introduce you to the subtractive method of the dark field monotype, where printmaking ink is applied to a surface, removed with non-traditional “art” tools, and then printed.
On Day 2, you will learn to employ a similar subtractive approach on a claybord surface using sumie ink. Dawn will demonstrate how color may be added to each method using a variety of mixed media.
This class is for all levels, and will show you how to create fresh imagery that is wonderfully forgiving, creative, and fun!
Students provide their own supplies (click on the materials tab to view the list).
