Wednesdays, October 29 – December 3 (No Class Nov 5th) 10:00 am to 12:00 pm
This is a 5 week class Fun, pocket-sized, flexi-books are perfect for exploring composition while learning exciting mixed-media and collage techniques. You will create a large and colorful acrylic mixed-media piece over a few sessions. Toward the end, you will learn how to fold and cut your creation, transforming it into a delightful book! We will discuss each “page spread”, as we come to understand some of the cornerstones of composition and your own visual language. Fresh new techniques will be taught during each class, as you build your layers and textures. This is a great way to start learning about mixed-media collage as well as continuing your journey and adding to your knowledge base about this innovative and forgiving art form! Check the “materials” tab for supplies you’ll need to bring to class. Please register early as class registration closes 48 hours before the start of first-class. Registration must be accompanied by full payment. Scholarship information: The Falmouth Art Center is very proud to have a scholarship fund supported by donations from members and friends. Scholarship Information and Forms Falmouth Art Center Refund Policy: Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds. The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
