If a picture can tell a thousand words, a visual biography can tell a novel’s worth.

Tell your story in a unique visual way to capture people’s attention – even if you can’t draw! Discover more about yourself as you select your story’s key moments. Come draw badly, laugh, create, and communicate your story.

Audience for this workshop:

* Job seeker to create a visual resume to be used as a handout or added to their website
* Small business to wanting to add interest to their website’s “About Us” page

* Family historian wishing to dramatize important family events

* Anyone wishing to learn more about themselves and have fun

 

Falmouth Art Center Refund Policy:

Refunds will not be given within one month of the start of a workshop. Workshops are not pro-rated. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.

The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.

Materials

Students should bring their favorite markers and pens.

You may wish to bring photographs to use either for reference or to use for collage (in this case, you  might want to bring copies, not originals).

The instructor will provide paper.

Instructor Bio

Kit Irwin is the founder of The Vision Scribe, a consulting company for graphic facilitation. Her illustrated visual biographies have been used by small businesses on their About Us pages and her animated whiteboard video is on the Head Start website. She has taught at colleges and universities, including Boston University, and earned her master’s in Critical and Creative Thinking from UMass Boston.
