The gel plate is becoming more and more popular among beginners, but also professional artists. The silicon plate acts as a printing tool that is simple to use, however, can yield extraordinary results. The basic equipment consists of a gel plate, a brayer, acrylic paint and paper. This workshop is designed for beginners and people who have already had experience with the gel plate.
The focus of this workshop is to make marks on our prints with the help of packaging materials and other non-metal items that can be found at home, like corks or egg carton boxes.
More advanced students will learn how to create textures that resemble abstract artworks.
It is recommended to bring your own paint, mark making tools and other favorite art supplies.
