For ages 7-9

Students will add to their dress-up arsenal by making masks using paper plates, feathers, pompoms, and streamers, and using rhinestones to bedazzle paper crowns and decorate hats. They can also explore their magical side by making magic wands casting ‘spells’ made of ribbon. The goal of this course would be to spark the students’ creativity so that they continue to use their new imagination tools even after they go home from the class.

Materials

All materials will be provided.

Instructor Bio

Rebecca Butler is currently a senior at Falmouth Academy. She interned last summer at the Falmouth Art Center where she worked with kids of a variety of ages to teach them ceramics projects ranging from pinch pots to sculptures of dragons. For the past four years, Rebecca has also volunteered at the Mullen-Hall Elementary School where she has also helped in art classes. She enjoys working with kids on arts and crafts projects.
