In this workshop I will explain the key components of color and how you can incorporate this knowledge into your art form. The intent is to give you a fresh perspective on making color choices. This is a hands-on workshop and you will complete various color exercises with a focus on how the color wheel can assist in decision making, and how the value of colors sets the tone for your patterns and designs. We will also look at color attributes such as temperature and intensity, and how when everything is combined you are on the path to establishing a personal tone for your artwork.
Materials fee of $20 to be paid directly to instructor on day of workshop (check or cash) will include a color wheel with tints and shades, a value scale and some of the materials used for the exercises. Handouts will be provided.
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class and one month before the start of a workshop. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
