Mondays: 1 pm – 4 pm
January 8, 2018 – March 12, 2018

This intermediate to advanced level class will focus on various drinking vessels from mugs, to cups, to stemware and everything in between! As we will be producing a wide array of forms we will be paying special attention to glazing and surface decoration. All students must have completed a beginning level class or equivalent.

 

REFUND POLICY:
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
If Falmouth Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, we will be closed and the missed classes will be rescheduled.

 

 

Materials

Fee includes 25 pounds of clay, glaze and firing fee. A tool kit may be purchased for $14. Open studio time, which is scheduled several times throughout the week, is available at no extra charge.

Instructor Bio

Seth Rainville is a professional potter, art educator, and independent curator living in New Bedford, Massachusetts. He has taught ceramics at multiple venues including the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, South County Art Association, Arch Contemporary Ceramics, the Mesa Art Center and Phoenix Center for the Arts. He has also conducted over 30 workshops across the country including recent workshops at Harvard Ceramics, Mudflat Ceramics Studio, and at Watershed Center for the Ceramic Arts. Seth’s teaching style requires students to enjoy the process while learning a strong base of fundamentals.
