“Joe Gallant’s works of art are tranquil treasures.”

Cape Cod Life Publications, 2021

Have you ever wondered how some artists capture feeling—a mood– in their paintings?  An emotional quality that separates certain paintings from all the others?   It is a quality that can be learned.

Learn how to create feeling in your painting and experience the fun, freedom and spontaneity of using large brushes available at hardware stores to create landscape and seascape paintings with feeling. Using big brushes and water mixable oil paints or acrylics, full-time Sandwich-based artist Joe Gallant will demonstrate and guide you through the steps of creating your own large seascape that just might become a focal point in your home or office!

You will complete your own oil painting during this fun 3 ½ hour workshop. Joe will provide a reference photo of a coastal scene that will be painted.  The workshops are suitable for adult beginners, intermediate painters, and past participants in Joe’s workshops.

Joe has conducted workshops for many years and you will enjoy his fun and casual approach. If you have ever felt unsure of yourself when you start a painting, here’s your chance to learn an exciting technique that just might change the way you paint forever!

Students provide their own supplies (click on the materials tab to view the list).
