This is a 6 week class.

his is a beginner’s wheel class covering the basics: centering, opening, bowls, cylinders, mugs, glazing & surface decoration. But we will also begin altering thrown pots by darting, stretching, reshaping, carving etc. Often beginners believer these techniques are for advanced students, but not so! These can be used to turn a heavy bottomed or lopsided pot into an exquisite thing of beauty.
Mistake are opportunities for greater creativity.
A Note about Clay Open Studio: For those in Wendy’s summer ceramics class, since it starts 4 weeks into the session, we have a special rate so that you can start using the Clay Studio at the beginning of the session, rather than waiting until the class starts, if you like. This offer is for those who have taken clay classes here in the past.
The rate is $125 to use the Clay Studio from Monday, June 23 until the class starts on Saturday, July 26.

The Falmouth Art Center is very proud to have a scholarship fund supported by donations from members and friends. It is available for both children and adults who have a great desire to create art. Applications should be submitted to Laura Reckford, Executive Director of the Falmouth Art Center. Scholarship Information and Forms
Refund policy:
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
If Falmouth Public Schools are closed due to weather conditions, we will be closed and the missed classes will be rescheduled.
