This is a 4 week class with Jeanine Cappuccino for kids ages 9-13.
Children learn the life long skill of knit and purl in this 4 week class. This is a fun and relaxing way to turn simple knitting stitches into a usable bag to hold a phone, use as a wallet, or store treasures.
Click on the materials tab for a list of supplies to bring to class.
Please bring the following materials:
Knitting needles – Metal or wood needles, size # 8 or #10.
The art center has lots of yarn available for students to use, but if you would like to pick out your own to bring to class, here are some guidelines:
Yarn -Medium weight, # 4 Worsted yarn, 4 or 6 ply, Acrylic, wool or a blend. Color of your choice. Please no novelty yarns yet. Michael’s has a great selection of yarns. Walmart has a good selection too.
