This is a 3-week class.
Pastels are such a wonderful medium and in this class you will learn techniques to create paintings full of energy, texture and color! This class is designed for optimal opportunity to practice and experiment with ways to approach pastel painting on sanded pastel papers. Through demonstration of weekly focused exercises you will:
– develop confidence with painterly mark making skills,
– use value as a way to make color decisions
– experiment with toned or colored surfaces to enhance your painting.
In addition to demonstration and class exercise, class time will include individual painting opportunities and class critiques.
Refund Policy
Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class and one month before the start of a workshop. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.
The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.
