Discover the magic of transforming wool into felt with fiber artist Annamarie Behring! In this beginner-friendly workshop, participants will create a felted painting based on Claude Monet’s painting, Water Lilies 51. Learn the basics of wet felting and receive an instruction sheet to do projects at home.
A $10 materials fee is due to the instructor at the workshop.

Gloves, if you have very sensitive skin. The wool we will be using is very soft and not scratchy, but you may want to wear gloves if your skin is sensitive.
Apron, if you want to protect your clothing from some splashes of water and soap.

Annamarie is an artist with a passion for felting, weaving, and painting. Her themes are centered on the love of nature and animals. She likes the tactile and malleable nature of wool, and happily creates felted paintings, soaps, coasters, flowers, and more. Making woven wall hangings has been a delightful pursuit as well! She enjoys creating acrylic and watercolor paintings and specializes in pet portraits. You may have seen her cute “Christmas Mouse” cards at the Holiday Market!
She lives in East Falmouth with her husband, Jason, with whom they run an Etsy business, “Bear, Moose and Bunny”. She works in Development at Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, a great place to be! She has a degree in Art Education from UMass Dartmouth and has served in AmeriCorps and Peace Corps – The Gambia.
