Friday, January 16th
2:30 – 5 pm

We will skip the basics and dive into multi-layered printing right away. We will learn more complex layering techniques and what paints are suited best. Furthermore, we will mark up our prints through other techniques. The prints can be used as interesting collage papers. If they are printed on heavier paper, they can be either framed or turned into bookmarks or artful greeting cards.

This Advanced Gel Printing will be offered again on January 23–feel free to sign up for both if you would like some more practice.

Refund Policy

Refunds will not be given within one week of the start of a class and one month before the start of a workshop. Classes are not pro-rated, and there are no makeups for missed classes. A $25 processing fee is withheld from all refunds.

The Art Center reserves the right to cancel any class or workshop due to insufficient enrollment, in which case tuition will be fully refunded.

Materials

Material list advanced workshop:

Copy Paper

If you’d like to bring different types of paper.

If you have your own gel plate and brayer, please bring, others will be provided.

Instructor will provide a selection of stencils, but please bring your own as well.

Water color paper or heavier card stock if you’d like to frame your prints.

If you have, please bring Golden Open acrylics, i.e. semi-transparent body.

Other acrylic paints of your choice, good brands are Liquitex, Amsterdam, Winsor and Newton. But less expensive brands will work as well.

If you have, acrylic markers in black and white.

Instructor Bio

Inge grew up in Germany and after high school went to obtain a Master’s Degree in Education from the Teachers Training College in Heidelberg. During her high school teaching tenure, she worked as a teacher of Mathematics and Art.

From 2012 to 2021 she lived and worked in the Midwest. Next to working in her business and immersing into her own art, she volunteered at the Walker Art Center, the renowned contemporary art museum in Minneapolis. She helped launching and executing their art program for art activities for families.

Currently, she is enjoying volunteering at the Falmouth Art Center with their art program for children.

After retiring from their business, Inge and her husband Rolf moved to Falmouth in early 2022.

She has been teaching art classes in Falmouth since 2023 with a focus on the gel plate and how it can produce stunning results with simple techniques.
