June 2 – 26: Cape Cod Works
It is not too early to start thinking about your entry to our June show, Cape Cod Works. This is a non-juried show open to all mediums and open to Falmouth Art Center members and non-member alike. You just have to meet the theme in your work.
We are looking for work that represents Cape Cod traditional and diverse occupations, such as farming (strawberry, cranberry and more), fishing (deep sea, shellfishing, lobstering and more), boat building, whaling, glass-blowing, crafts like pottery and weaving, tourism and more. You might submit a landscape of farmland (cranberry or other farmland); an image of a seascape that includes a fishing boat or a Main Street scene that includes shops, for example.
Receiving: Drop off artwork on May 30, 9:00am to 5:30pm at Falmouth Art Center.
Entry is $10 for Falmouth Art Center members, $15 for non-members. All mediums are welcome and one work per artist.
This is a non-juried show. Any visual arts medium is accepted including ceramics, collage, drawing, fiber, fine art photography, glass, mixed media, mosaic, oil and acrylic painting, pastel, printmaking, sculpture, watercolor and wood sculpture.
Falmouth Art Center members receive a higher commission of 70% if the piece sells. Non-members receive 50% of the sale price.
Opening Reception June 2, 5:00- 7:00 pm
Pick up artwork on (or by) June 27.
