Support the Falmouth Artists Guild
In a strategic plan developed four years ago, the Guild made a firm commitment: To foster a community on the Upper Cape where visual artists live, work, and grow in fellowship, and where the arts are appreciated as important contributions to the community and those who live in it.
To achieve this vision, the Guild needs a permanent home. Three generous lead gifts – including an attractive two-acre lot on the corner of Gifford Street and Dillingham Avenue in Falmouth donated by developer Christopher Wise of Chatham – have opened the future for the Guild and given an energetic start to making the dream a reality
Community leaders and area residents are joining together to build a community art center where residents of all abilities and ages can find a healthy social outlet and skilled artists can work and share their creative results.
We are now seeking community support to ensure this bright future and are asking individuals, foundations, and local businesses for investments in the project. The Guild is seeking multi-year pledges as well as outright support. Naming opportunities are available for individuals and groups.
By donating to the Guild’s new building fund, you will help ensure the future of the visual arts on the Upper Cape and provide a place for healthy, creative fun. Packets are available with pertinent information about the project and answers to your questions. "Falmouth has never before had a community center for the visual arts. This one is going to be a superb example, a beautiful building with an array of programs to meet the needs of all area residents. People who live in Falmouth, and its town leaders, know what the new center will mean in terms of the social and economic health of our community. As artists, Guild members know inspiration when we see it. And, that’s what the new Falmouth Artists Guild will be—pure inspiration. All we need is your support to make this dream a reality.
—Yolanda Landrau, Guild President.
